Although not technically on the Snake River Rim Trail (the 13 mile trail along the Snake River Canyon from beyond Federation Point to Shoshone Falls), Dierkes Lake is accessible from the trail by walking path. However as of now, the final trail section connecting the Dierkes Lake Park and Shoshone Falls park has yet to be completed; stay tuned.
Separated from the Snake River by just a couple hundred feet of desert canyon, the number of sights available here is unbelievable!
As mentioned above, Shoshone Falls is accessible by walking path from Dierkes Lake park. This is one of the most magnificent sites in Southern Idaho, and is a must see if you visit Twin Falls, especially during the summer when the falls has a high flow rate.
